"Lando" was the name of my late black lab, who I hunted beside for two years before he became terminally ill. In the months after his diagnosis, I cared for him intensely. He passed away just shy of his fourth birthday. The experience of caring for him and subsequently having to say "goodbye" influences my veterinary practice on a daily basis and has made me a better veterinarian and person. Through my relief services, I hope to touch the lives of veterinary professionals like he so profoundly touched mine.
